

We’re preparing to Introduce a premium functional drink from Italy into the Indian market and are looking for entrepreneurial-minded Regional Sales Representatives to lead on-ground market research and early distribution development in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities across South India. This role combines market research, distributor onboarding, retail searching, and early product feedback collection ideal for someone who thrives on taking ownership of new market launches.
Market Research & Analysis
Identify Top distributors and sub-distributors dealing in premium beverages, imported drinks, or functional health products
Research competitive products in your region: Pricing, Packaging, Positioning, and Shelf placement
Prepare weekly reports on retail trends, shelf space availability, and consumer buying behaviours
Distributor & Retailer Outreach
Visit Potential Distributors, Present the product concept, and collect interest/feedback
Evaluate distributor credibility, cold storage capacity (if needed), delivery network, and pricing expectations
Pitch the value of introducing a new, sugar-free, date-based wellness drink as a portfolio differentiator
Retail Activation & Placement
Identify gyms, wellness stores, premium Kirana outlets, organic shops, cafés, and small supermarkets
Pitch and secure initial shelf placements or trial sales (stock & sell model)
Suggest launch offers or sampling ideas to build pull from retailers
Reporting & Feedback
Maintain a clear log of every store/distributor visited with notes on feedback, pricing reaction, and interest level
Coordinate with the central team to refine strategy based on city feedback
Report challenges such as import-related concerns, MRP resistance, or distributor objections
Experience: 1–4 years in FMCG field sales, especially in beverages, health food, OTC, or premium grocery segment
Skills: Excellent communication (English + local language), negotiation, and interpersonal rapport
Mindset: Energetic, self-starter, excited to build something from the ground level
Assets: Two-wheeler with license preferred ability to travel daily within assigned zone
Tools: Familiar with basic reporting via Excel, Google Sheets, or Notion (training can be provided)
